Vacation Mode On! The day has finally come! School is out for the summer and it's time to sit back, relax, and dip your toes in the sand as the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department Turns Town Square into a Beach Party! Listen to your favorite beach music and tropical rock hits by Johnny Russler and The Beach Bum Band from 6:00-9:00pm, sip on fruity cocktails and mocktails available for purchase, and enjoy some of your favorite beach games with friends!

Keep the kids of all ages entertained! Kids will have the chance to get wet and wild in a foam pit from 6:00-8:00pm provided by our 2025 Event Partner, Foam Party All Stars! See how long you survive surfing the big wave, get a thrill as you slide down the Ocean Water Slide (weather pending), and see how low you can go in Limbo! Other beach activities include sand pits, volleyball, bags, Kan Jam, surf shack and more will be available for free all evening long! It's the perfect way to celebrate the end of the school year and kick off the summer vacation! See below for more details on the fun waiting for you during the Beach Party!

Don't forget to get your Aloha Wear!

Let's see how many Hawaiian-style shirts we can pack into Town Square! Come in style and wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt or Aloha Wear to the Beach Party! Grab a commemorative Beach Party Hawaiian shirt during the event at the Tiki Hut or at City Hall during regular office hours (Monday-Friday; 8:00-4:30pm) before the event! Hawaiian shirts are $20 each.

Please note that School's Out Beach Party is a cash-only event. Please be prepared to make cash payments for any Aloha Wear Hawaiian shirt, food, and beverage purchases during the event.

The Beach Bum Band combines the sounds of Trop Rock, Reggae, Surf, and Calypso by pouring great original music along with songs by Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley, Zac Brown Band, Paul Simon, Sublime, Beach Boys, and many more into a musical blender to create a strong concoction direct from the lower latitudes!

From steel pans to strong percussion, to driving bass and skanking guitars, the Beach Bum Band has a fun and danceable sound that appeals to all ages. Grab the grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts and join us!

Parents can relax while the kids have a blast and cool off in the foam. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to make unforgettable memories with your friends and family!

What is A Foam Party?
Foam Party All Stars fills the designated area with a mountain of tiny bubbles that are biodegradable, hypo-allergenic and dye-free with a state of the art foam cannon. Participants should wear anything they are comfortable getting wet in including swimsuits or t-shirt and shorts. Goggles are also preferred by some.

TAKE A TRIP TO THE TIKI BAR

Visit the Tiki Bar and sip on some specialty cocktails! Savor our tantalizing cocktails and mocktails (non-alcoholic) while jamming out to the upbeat tropical rock tunes of The Beach Bum Band. A fully stocked beer trailer will also be available with a variety to choose from!

Don't forget to get your Aloha Wear! City of Yorkville Hawaiian shirts will also be available for purchase. Hawaiian shirts are $20 each.

We card all ages. Patrons wishing to consume alcohol will be given a wristband upon proof of age. Patrons without a wristband are not allowed to purchase or consume alcohol during the event.
